Photo of 17-year-old from Kashmir linked to Delhi blast
Kishtwar: A photograph of a young man brandishing a gun is allegedly that of a 17-year-old from Kashmir who played a key role in the blast at the Delhi High Court in September last year. 18 people were killed.

The teenager in the photo, whose face cannot be shown because he is a minor, used to live in the Kishtwar of Kashmir south of the Pirpanjal range.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is looking for this teen, who is suspected to be a member of the terror group Hizbul Mujahideen. Shortly after the blast by the Mujahideen, an email was sent to media houses claiming responsibility for the explosion. That email was traced to a cyber cafe in Kishtwar and led to at least four arrests. The teen's older brother, who was studying to be a doctor in Bangladesh was arrested nine months ago by the NIA.

The agency says that the medical student helped smuggle two Pakistanis into Kishtwar. There, the conspiracy for the Delhi High Court was planned. The local unit of the Hizbul Mujahideen provided the explosives. The teenager allegedly worked with two others to help plan the attack.
