Parliament Monsoon Session Day 17 Live Updates: As the INDIA Bloc leaders continued to protest Special Intensive Revision (SIR) issue of electoral rolls in Bihar, the proceedings of Lok Sabha and rajya Sabha have been adjourned.

The Lok Sabha has been adjourned till 12:00 pm and Rajya Sabha till 2:00 pm.

A day earlier, Delhi police detained several INDIA bloc leaders during their protest march from the Parliament House to the Election Commission of India (ECI) headquarters over SIR and alleged electoral malpractices.

Union Minister Piuyush Goyal Moves Motion In Rajya Sabha

Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal moves motion to elect one Member from amongst the Members of the House to be a member of the Tea Board, Coffee Board and Spices Board. The motion has been adopted in Rajya Sabha.

Protest By INDIA Bloc Leaders Continue

INDIA bloc leaders continue to protest over the alleged voter fraud and Special Intensive Revision (SIR) issues. MPs, including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, were seen wearing T-shirts featuring the name Minta Devi, a voter allegedly listed as 124 years old in the Election Commission's voter list.

INDIA Bloc Leaders To Chalk Out Strategy For House Proceedings

The leaders of the INDIA bloc will meet in Parliament at 10:15 am on Tuesday to discuss their strategy for the proceedings in the House.

A day earlier, the INDIA bloc and its leaders came down heavily on the Election Commission of India (ECI) amid allegations of "vote theft" in the previous assembly and general elections.

Congress MP Moves Motion In Rajya Sabha Over Electoral Roll Concerns

Congress MP Randeep Singh Surjewala submitted a notice in the Rajya Sabha under Rule 267, seeking the suspension of the House's scheduled business on Tuesday to discuss what he describes as serious concerns over 'the integrity of India's electoral processes'.

In his notice to the Secretary-General of the Rajya Sabha, Surjewala wrote, "The House must deliberate on serious concerns about the exclusion of already precarious communities from the electoral rolls in the absence of adequate safeguards, transparency, and due process in their implementation."
