Lucknow: A US-based software engineer and three members of his family have been arrested in Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh for allegedly getting his wife murdered, police said.
Ganesh Shankar Mishra, an NRI, was arrested along with his father Devdutt Mishra, mother Sulakshana Mishra and sister Meena Dwivedi.
Ganesh, his wife Anshul and their two children had come to India from US on Jul 23. Anshul was found murdered at her house on July 27. Ganesh and his family reported it as an incident of robbery. But during the probe, police said, it was found that they got her killed with the help of two persons, whom they paid Rs 2.5 lakh.
The hired assailants - Rahul Tiwari and Om Chowdhury - have also been arrested. (With PTI Inputs)
