Mumbai: The Mumbai Police today opposed an application filed by Sayed Zabiuddin Ansari alias Abu Jundal, who is facing trial in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack case, seeking to recall Pakistani-American terrorist David Colemen Headley before the court in Mumbai.

"We have filed a reply in the court opposing the application," said Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam.

Jundal's lawyer Wahab Khan had last month moved the sessions court saying that he needs to further cross-examine Headley, so he may be recalled.

The prosecution's reply said Mr Wahab had himself said earlier that he needed only four days to cross-examine Headley.

"Wahab had himself said that he needs four days' time and he extensively examined Headley (subsequently)," Mr Nikam said.
