Kasargod district in Kerala, which reported 49 deaths in air crash, is filled with heart rending stories. A family that was preparing for a wedding now mourns the death of two of its son, who died in the Mangalore air crash.

"When we were close to airport, I saw smoke billowing in the area. A taxi driver told me the aircraft had skidded on the runway," said Abdul Nasser, brother of air crash victim.

He had gone to the Mangalore airport to receive two of his brothers who were coming from Dubai to attend wedding of their only sister. But both Basheer and Siddique died in the Air India plane crash.

The house in Uppala, which was gearing up for Sunday's wedding, is now in mourning. But what has added to the agony of this family is the fact that the bodies of the two brothers have not been identified yet.

Friends and relatives are shocked as well. The body of one of the brothers has not been identified. Another body, the family claims to have identified, has three claimants.

"We could find a body and we are hundred per cent sure it is of our brother, but others have also staked claim so, we have asked for DNA test, said Abdul Nasser, the deceased's brother.

The family now hopes the bodies are identified soon so that at least the funeral rites can be completed.
