Lalgarh: Maoists, forces exchange fire; 3 killed

Kolkata: Three villagers have been killed in a shootout between Maoists and security forces near Lalgarh in West Bengal.

The PCPA - the group backed by Maoists - held a procession on Saturday morning. When security forces arrived in the afternoon, Maoists fired at them.

The security forces fired back in which two villagers died on the spot. Another person who was injured died on way to hospital.

This is the second time in less than a week that villagers have been caught in the crossfire between Maoists and security forces.
