Kasab's tantrums continue at Bombay High Court
Mumbai: Kasab's tantrums continued in the Bombay High Court.

A day after 26/11 terrorist Ajmal Kasab insulted the court hearing his plea against the death sentence, he was defiant again.

On Wednesday, he refused to attend High Court proceedings via video-conferencing and said he wanted to be physically present at the court.

However, the court turned down his request.

On Tuesday, Justice Ranjan Desai had said that due to security reasons Kasab's request could not be heeded and as per the law his presence was not required.

Earlier, the judges hearing Ajmal Kasab's appeal against his death sentence had expressed their anger after the terrorist spat on webcam during the first day of the hearing.

Bombay High Court judges described Kasab as "violent and unruly....he is not amenable to reason, dialogue."

Insisting that he be moved from his bullet-proof and bomb-proof cell at Arthur Road jail to court, Kasab said, " Send me to America's human rights court."

Kasab is the only terrorist caught alive during Mumbai's 26/11 attacks. He was sentenced to death by a special court in May for waging war against India. He has appealed against his sentence.

Recently, the High Court also ruled that Kasab cannot consult with his lawyers unless jail officials and security guards can see and hear him. That decision came after Kasab was caught on security camera attacking a jail official in September.

However, on Thursday, the Arthur Road Jail Superintendent will be present at the court when a decision on Kasab and his lawyer's meeting would be taken.
