Is fuel price hike now imminent?

New Delhi: The Congress has indicated that a fuel hike is inevitable, but the final decision is likely to be announced in a couple of days.

Petroleum Minister Murli Deora has submitted the Kirit Parekh report to the Congress Core Committee.

The report has recommended total decontrol of fuel prices as well as a significant hike in prices.

The Opposition is now gearing up to attack the government in Parliament later this month on the issue.
