Srinagar:
A Hindu militant has been killed in an encounter with the security forces. The Army, which had earlier identified the militant killed in the encounter in Kishtwar on Tuesday morning as Rizwan, later clarified that the militant was actually Subhash.
According to sources, he was the lone Hindu militant of Hizbul Mujahideen in the South of Pir Panjal region of Jammu and Kashmir.
"As far as we are concerned, every person who has taken gun against the nation is a militant. The encounter took place on the higher reaches on mountains in Doda district. Local there identified the killed militant," said Brigadier J S Cheema, General Staff, 16 Corps.
