New Delhi: Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil will star as the main lead in National Award-winning director Anwar Rasheed's new film Trance. Mr Rasheed shared the poster of the film on social media, where he revealed the other details and release date. Fahad first worked with Anwar Rasheed in the short film Anchu Sundarikal. Trance is scheduled to hit the theatres in April next year. Oscar-winning musician Resul Pookutty will compose for the film. Trance will be Anwar Rasheed's first film in five years after Ustad Hotel, starring Dulquer Salmaan. Ustad Hotel won two National Awards, including a Special Mention. Later, Mr Rasheed directed Dulquer and Fahadh in the 2014 hit film Bangalore Days. The film also starred Fahadh's wife, actress Nazriya Nazim.

Anwar Rasheed's Premam and Comrade in America were also successful at the box office. Comrade In America, which starred Dulquer in the lead, released last month.
Trance will reportedly be shot in Kanyakumari, Nagercoil and Kochi.
Meanwhile, Fahadh Faasil, 34, has several projects in the pipeline. Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, Aannengilum Alenkilum and Carbon are his upcoming released. Fahadh is also making his Tamil debut with Velaikkaran, co-starring starring Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara. Aneethi Kathaigal is his other Tamil project with Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
Fahadh Faasil made his debut with Kaiyethum Doorath (2002). Role Models was his latest release. Fahad is best-known for films like Chaappa Kurishu, Diamond Necklace, Annayum Rasoolum, Oru Indian Pranayakatha, Iyobinte Pusthakam and Maheshinte Prathikaaram. He married Nazriya in 2014, just after the release of Bangalore Days.
