Parade Details
The Republic Day parade is scheduled to commence at 10.30 am from Vijay Chowk, proceeding towards the Red Fort grounds. A related function will be held at the National War Memorial, India Gate, at 9.30 am.
Parade Route
The designated parade route covers Vijay Chowk, Kartavya Path, C-Hexagon, Subhas Chandra Bose roundabout, Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Netaji Subhas Marg, and ends at Red Fort.
Traffic Restrictions
The Kartavya Path will remain closed from Vijay Chowk to India Gate from 6 pm on Wednesday until the parade concludes.
No cross-traffic will be permitted on Kartavya Path at Rafi Marg, Janpath, Man Singh Road from 10 pm on Wednesday until the end of the parade.
Closures and Restrictions on Thursday
C-Hexagon-India Gate will be closed for traffic from 9.15 am on Thursday until the parade crosses Tilak Marg.
No traffic on Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, and Netaji Subhas Marg will be permitted from 10.30 am on Thursday.
Cross-traffic will be allowed based on the movement of the parade.
Alternative Routes
Motorists are advised to take alternative routes from Madarsa, Lodhi Road T-point via Aurobindo Marg, AIIMS Chowk, Ring Road-Dhaula Kuan, Vande Matram Marg and Shankar Road to reach Mandir Marg.
Commuting Tips
Commuters to New Delhi railway station from south Delhi are encouraged to follow routes through Dhaula Kuan, Vande Matram Marg, Panchkuian Road, Connaught Place Outer Circle and Chelmsford Road for the Paharganj side. For the Ajmeri Gate side, Minto Road and Bhavbhuti Marg are recommended.
Travel to Old Delhi railway station from south Delhi is advised via the Ring Road, Ashram Chowk, Sarai Kale Khan, Rajghat, Chowk Yamuna Bazar, SP Mukherjee Marg, Chhatta Rail, and Kauria Bridge.
Bus Diversions
Inter-state buses from Ghaziabad bound for Shivaji Stadium will be diverted via National Highway-24, the Ring Road, and terminate at Bhairon Road.
Buses coming from National Highway-24 will take a right turn on Road No 56 and terminate at ISBT-Anand Vihar.
Buses for the Wazirabad Bridge from Ghaziabad will be diverted at Mohan Nagar towards Bhopra Chungi.
Heavy Transport Restrictions
No heavy transport/light goods vehicles will be allowed to enter Delhi from other states from 11 pm on Thursday until the parade is over.
These vehicles will only be allowed to ply between ISBT-Sarai Kale Khan and ISBT-Kashmere Gate on the Ring Road from 7.30 am to 1.30 pm on Friday.
Delhi Metro Instructions
Holders of bona fide e-invitation cards or e-tickets for attending the Republic Day parade will be issued coupons for producing government-issued identity cards at stations. These coupons will be valid for exits from the Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan stations only to reach Kartavya Path. The same coupon will be valid for return journeys from these two stations.
Passengers with invitation cards marked for enclosures 1 to 9 and V1 and V2 should deboard at Udyog Bhawan. Similarly, those marked for enclosures 10 to 24 and VN are advised to deboard at the Central Secretariat.
Regular announcements will also be made inside the Metro trains to inform passengers so that they deboard at the designated stations.

Flying Restrictions
The flying of sub-conventional aerial platforms, including paragliders, paramotors, hang gliders, UAVs, UASs, microlight aircraft, remotely-piloted aircraft, hot-air balloons, small size-powered aircraft, quadcopters, or para jumping from aircraft, is strictly prohibited over the jurisdiction of Delhi until February 15.
