CBI seizes firearms, walkie-talkie from Padamsinh's house
Mumbai:

The CBI on Thursday conducted searches at the South Mumbai residence of Padamsinh Patil and recovered five firearms and other incriminating documents pertaining to slain Congress leader Pawanraje Nimbalkar and noted social activist Anna Hazare.

The CBI has also recovered cash worth Rs 7.5 lakh and nine high frequency walkie-talkie sets, which are usually used by the police force, from the house of Nimbalkar, an accused in the Congress leader's murder case, CBI officials said.

The firearms would be sent for forensic tests to find out when was it last used and if the cartridges in it are the same as those used to gun down Nimbalkar on June 3, 2006 at Kalamboli in the neighbouring Navi Mumbai, they said.

The materials were recovered from Patil's house at Colaba in South Mumbai. The CBI had sealed the house last week and conducted searches on Thursday.
