Six passengers were killed when a vehicle in which they were travelling skidded and fell into a gorge in Kishtwar district on Thursday evening, authorities said.
An Eeco vehicle carrying six people skidded off the road and rolled down into gorge near Nagriana area, they said.
Five persons died on the spot and one died in hospital, they said.
Those dead have been identifed as Latief Rather, Abdul Rehman, Mohd Irfan, Ghulam Hassan, Atta Mohd, and Zubair Ahmed, they said.
