2G scam: Shourie did not write to PM, says Congress
New Delhi: The Congress has hit out strongly at former telecom minister Arun Shourie's latest allegation in which he claimed that he had warned the Prime Minister and the CBI Director about the 2G scam, but got no response.

The Congress has said that Shourie did not write any such letter to the Prime Minister.

Speaking at an interaction with journalists at the Indian Express, Shourie had said the moment he realised how big the A Raja spectrum scam was, he told both the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the then CBI Director.

Shourie even said that he introduced the CBI to a key informant who, he claimed, knew each detail of who paid how much, how it was paid, which the front companies were, and so on.
