Xanthelesma are seen as muddy yellow plaques raised above the skin surface and is a lipid metabolic condition, very often seen on eyelids. Bloodcholesterol should be estimated and diabetes should be ruled out in such cases.Surgery is only needed for cosmetic reasons and they can be simply excised which can be done by any Plastic surgeon in your city.
