Will our baby be short-sighted?

Although, any child can have short-sightedness, the chances for the same are high if any of the parents are short sighted. These chances are higher if both parents are short sighted. However, not all children born to short sighted parents are necessarily short sighted. There is no way to determine whether the child will develop short sightedness or not.
