Does testosterone affect cognitive development?

Question

What is the role of testosterone in cognitive decision making? My son does has very low testosterone due to hypogondism and myotonic dystrophy. He has been placed on Androgel and the numbers are slightly improving. Please advise.

Testosterone used as replacement therapy is not known to have any specific effect on cognitive function.
