Are ammonia free hair colours safe for the hair and skin of the scalp? I have 20 % grey hair. I am 31 years of age female, mother of a 2 year baby girl.

It is safer to use vegetable dye based hair colours as the likelihood of allergy and chemical reaction is less, though the potential still remains as compared to ammonia and other chemical-containing dyes.
