Recycling centres

New Delhi: This year to mobilise a mass movement, we're aiming to set up plastic/recyclable waste collection centres across the country. People in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore & Chennai will be invited to come out and participate in our recycling drive by depositing their recyclable waste. Our endeavour is not to preach, but get as many citizens to come out and participate.

We believe that a lot of people want to do something for the environment but don't know how to go about it.

These centres that we set up, will not only have multiple bins for respective type of waste, but in the process educate the masses on the importance of segregation. They will also be told about the importance of recycling and what the process entails.

To facilitate this collection drive, NDTV In conjunction with our NGO partners will be setting up several service points across the city.

Date: May 20
Time: All our recycling centres will be open the entire day from 9 am to 9 pm
 
WASTE TO BE RECYCLED

People are requested to join this recycling drive by bringing the following to our centres;

  • Plastic bags & bottles
  • All types of paper
  • E-waste including everything electronic in nature such as computer hardware, chargers, wires, batteries etc
  • Tetra Pak cartons
