Three reasons why Farah Khan will have a Happy New Year

Highlights

  • Choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan, who is currently working on her new film Happy New Year, has three good reasons to be happy.
  • Count them: Shah Rukh Khan. John Abraham. Abhishek Bachchan.
  • Not only does the film reunite Farah with friend-turned-foe-turned-friend-again SRK, she’s also reportedly signed John Abraham now.
  • This will be the first time that John will get to share screen space with King Khan.
  • In more Happy news, the film will also reportedly star Abhishek Bachchan. Abhi appeared with SRK in Karan Johar's 2006 film Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, and with John in Dhoom (2004) and Dostana (2008).
  • There were rumours of a fall out between SRK and Abhishek after the big Ash-Abhi wedding. But then again, that’s probably been eclipsed by SRK’s more recent, and certainly more public, spats.
  • Happy New Year will also feature Farah's Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi co-star, Boman Irani.
  • The director has not finalised a female lead for the film yet. But with this roll call of leading men, we're pretty sure the ladies will be lining up.
