London: Veteran Hollywood actor Al Pacinohas been honoured for his career achievements at astar-studded ceremony.

The 71-year-old star received the Lee StrasbergArtistic Achievement Award from The Actors Fund, whichbenefits members of the performing arts community.

Pacino was handed the honour during a glitzy ceremonyat the New York Marriott Marquis hotel in Manhattan andadmitted he was delighted to receive the prize.

"I'm honoured to receive the Lee Strasberg ArtisticAchievement Award from The Actors Fund. From my decades ofwork in theatre and film, I know firsthand the importance ofour community giving back to support those in need.

"Actors, musicians, directors, crew members and somany others - they are all a part of our community. And whenthey need a helping hand, we know The Actors Fund will bethere," the Godfather star said.

Cheers and Frasier star Bebe Neuwirth was alsofeted at the event, receiving The Actors Fund Medal of Honor,while a number of famous faces co-chaired the ceremony,including Alec Baldwin and Annette Bening.
