Arvind Kejriwal addresses rally at Ahmedabad: Highlights

Ahmedabad: Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal addressed a rally at Ahmedabad, the home turf of BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, today. Mr Kejriwal has spent the last three days touring Gujarat to audit Mr Modi's governance.

Here are the highlights:

  • I have been in Ahmedabad for three days and we have been attacked four times. My car's windshield was broken, Gopal Rai's car...Manish Sisodia's car...were attacked.
  • I may have been a chief minister only for 49 days, but I was the chief minister. If the Gujarat chief minister can't protect a former Delhi chief minister, how will he protect the people of Gujarat.
  • I am not a terrorist, I am a former chief minister. I was stopped 5 kms ahead of his house by the police.
  • When I asked the police as to why I was being stopped, they said that he is busy. When he is busy...the police is sent to stop people.
  • If he was busy, he could have told me he is busy and asked me to meet later.
  • Am I going to eat him? Has anyone ever met him?
  • Congress has stolen in 10 years more than what the British could in 200 years.
  • Gujarat wants change. They're now sick of corruption.
  • Modi says corruption has reduced. BPL cards, lodging FIR - people have to pay bribe to get all this done.
  • If Modi becomes Prime Minister, there will only be corruption in India.
  • People are not getting electricity round the clock; farmers are not getting subsidies.
  • Why should I challenge him? He neither meets me nor replies to my letters.
  • Narendra Modi has done nothing for the youth.
  • BJP doesn't have the guts to challenge Rahul Gandhi. AAP's Kumar Vishwas will defeat him.
