Re-NEET Answer Key 2026 Live Updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) answer key soon on its official portal, neet.nta.nic.in. The NTA conducted the NEET UG 2026 re-exam on June 21, 2026, for more than 20 lakh candidates across 5,440 centres in India and 14 centres abroad. 

Earlier, the exam body had declared the provisional answer key on May 6, 2026, for the exam conducted on May 3. 

According to the official Information Bulletin 2026, the NEET UG answer sheets are evaluated with extreme care and are repeatedly scrutinised. "The OMRs are machine-gradable and are being evaluated through specific software impartial to all," the official notification stated. 

The NTA will release the NEET UG provisional answer key on the official website, informing the candidates through an official press release. Applicants will be given an opportunity to make an online challenge against the provisional answer key. The answer key challenge window will remain open for a specified period as indicated in the public notice. 

Challenges made by the candidates will be verified by the NTA with the help of a panel of subject experts. If any challenge is found to be correct, the answer key will be revised and the same will be applicable to all NEET UG 2026 candidates. 

Based on the revised answer key, the NTA will prepare the NEET UG final answer key 2026. The final answer key will then be used to declare the NEET UG result.

NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Live Updates: Final Answer Key, Result Declaration

Based on the revised answer key after reviewing the challenges raised against the provisional answers, the NTA will prepare the NEET UG final answer key 2026. The final answer key will then be used to declare the NEET UG result. 

Re-NEET Answer Key 2026 LIVE: Objection Details

The exam conducting body will release the NEET UG provisional answer key on the official website, informing the candidates through an official press release. Applicants will be given an opportunity to make an online challenge against the provisional answer key by paying a non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 200 per answer challenged.

NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Live Updates: Dharmendra Pradhan On Students Arriving Late

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, in conversation with NDTV, responded to concerns over students who were denied entry to the NEET UG 2026 re-examination centres after arriving late, saying the gate closure rules had been clearly communicated in advance and had to be followed uniformly.

Speaking to NDTV on the issue, Pradhan said students had started reaching examination centres across the country from 10 am onwards, and that activity at the centres was being monitored through CCTV footage as well as from the National Testing Agency's command centre.

"There is a discipline in every examination. According to the advisory, guidelines and entry rules, it was clearly mentioned that only those students who reached the examination centre by 1:30 pm would be allowed to appear for the exam," he said.

NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Live Updates: What If There Is Discrepancy In Answer Key?

According to the National Testing Agency, the NEET UG candidates will be given an opportunity to make the representation on the OMR gradation of their OMR sheets and challenge the provisional answer key in case of any doubt. However, it is important to note that there is no provision for re-checking or re-evaluation of the answer sheets after the declaration of NEET results.

Referring to the irregularities that surfaced during the earlier exam cycle, Pradhan said some of those entrusted with responsibility had failed in their duty. "NTA had placed its trust in certain teachers, but some of them did not fulfil their responsibility. Rakshak hi bhakshak ban gaye (the protectors themselves turned predators)," he said.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan congratulated all aspirants, their parents, and all those involved in the successful conduct of the NEET UG 2026 re-exam. In an exclusive interview with NDTV, Pradhan said that the National Testing Agency organised the NEET re-exam in just 38 days, which generally takes around six months of preparation.
