CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation 2026: A Class 12 student in Delhi, who had alleged discrepancies in his CBSE post-result documents, has now been issued his missing Biology answer sheet, following a complaint that gained traction on social media and was reported by major media outlets.
The CBSE has reportedly taken prompt action after the student, Tanishq Vats, and his father highlighted that out of six answer sheets requested for re-evaluation, only five were initially provided, leaving the Biology answer script missing and delaying the re-evaluation process.
The student's father, Sachin, had claimed that the family faced serious difficulties in accessing post-result services. He also alleged that the student initially received a blank marksheet, which did not display subject-wise marks.
According to the marksheet accessed by NDTV, the initial document contained only subject codes, subject names, and positional grades for three subjects. At the bottom, it carried the remark "RL", which CBSE explains as "Result Later", indicating that the result was under process and pending finalisation.
CBSE officials, when contacted, clarified that the issue had been resolved and confirmed that the missing Biology answer sheet has now been issued to the student. They also stated that the corrected marksheet was issued on May 18, five days after the declaration of results.
The student, Tanishq, had secured 81 per cent marks in the Class 12 examinations. However, the initial marksheet reportedly did not reflect subject-wise scores, prompting concern from the family.
Speaking to NDTV, his father, Sachin, said he made multiple visits to the school over several days after noticing the discrepancy. He later approached CBSE officials but alleged that there was no timely resolution.
"Despite repeated attempts, there was no clear resolution for several days," he said.
He added that a revised marksheet was eventually issued about a week later. However, fresh issues emerged during the re-evaluation stage when the family applied for scanned copies of all six answer sheets.
According to him, only five answer scripts were made available, with the Biology answer sheet missing. He alleged that this prevented the family from completing the re-evaluation process for all subjects, especially as the deadline for applications is June 6.
The family had urged CBSE to ensure that all answer sheets are made available so that the student can fully exercise the right to re-evaluation.
