The Supreme Court will hear two petitions, for and against the cancellation of class 12 board exams conducted by CBSE and CISCE tomorrow, May 31. UPMSP on Saturday has announced that the board examinations for Class 10 students have been cancelled, and for those in Class 12, the exam is scheduled to be held in the second week of July, if the situation is conducive to conduct the exams. Duration for Class 12 exams has been reduced to 90 minutes from the usual 3.15 hours. This year, only three questions will have to be answered out of 10 questions.
CISCE is also expected to announce its decision on ICSE Class 12 board exams soon. The Supreme Court of India on Monday will hear a petition filed by Advocate Mamta Sharma seeking directions from the Supreme Court to cancel board exams. The court will also consider the plea filed by a teacher from Kerala who has requested the apex court not to cancel the Class 12 board exam 2021 as it would be ‘unfair' to Class 12 students.
As per the latest update on Class 12 board exam, the board exam case will be taken up on Monday and ICSE, CBSE 12th dates will depend on that.
