New Delhi: CBSE Board examinations 2017 are just round the corner. With barely few days left for the exam to begin, candidates will definitely be under extreme pressure. Students who will be appearing for the CBSE Board Exams (Class 10th and Class 12th) must be busy in last minute revision of syllabus. Lack of sleep, improper dietary intake and irregularity in the daily routine causes health hazards during this time. In this situation, calming down self is the only way that can help. Yoga is an efficient way to handle one's stress and overcome nervousness. Only a passionate Yoga practitioner can understand the usefulness, but for others it has benefits if done in the proper way and at the proper time.

Given below are 3 yoga positions for students. These will not only help them to overcome the stress, but will also enhance their concentration and boost their memory.

These yoga poses are very easy and can be done by even a newbie.

Padmasana: This is one of the easiest and effective as well! Doing 10 minutes of this yoga will calm down your stressful mind. Sit on the floor with legs spread straight. Bend your right knee and place it on the left thigh and the left knee on the right thigh. Rest your hands on your knees with palm down. Close your eyes. Alternatively you can chant 'Omm' with your eyes closed. Remember, the sitting position will be like Lotus flower (Padma; hence the name Padmasana).

Vrikshasana: Otherwise known as the Tree Stand Pose, this is another important yoga position for sharpening memory. Here, you have to stand on one leg with the other leg folded on its opposite thigh. Once you are in the standing position, stretch your arms together in the prayer position in front of your chest. Keep your eyes closed. Balance yourself for as long as you can.

Vajrasana: This is another effective yoga position for students. Kneel down on a straight surface such that your knees, toes and ankle touch the ground. Keep your spine straight and stretched. Close your eyes and relax.
