Cyber police will monitor such cases, and those found responsible will face strict consequences. If any student is involved in spreading misinformation, they will be booked under Unfair Means (UFM) rules.

Each school must upload on the ASAR app (Google Play Store) a geotagged photograph of participants and the total number of attendees.

The Class 10 CBSE board examinations are scheduled to begin on February 17, 2026, with over 26 lakh students expected to appear. Starting this year, Class 10 board exams will be conducted twice a year in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

This new framework allows students to appear for the Class 10 board examinations a second time to either improve their scores or clear any failed subjects. The second board exams for 2026 are scheduled from May 15 to June 1.

The question paper has been divided into three sections - Section A, Section B and Section C. Section A is Biology, Section B is Chemistry, and Section C is Physics.

Social Science:

Similarly, the Social Science question paper has been divided into four sections - Section A, Section B, Section C and Section D.

Section A is History, Section B is Geography, Section C is Political Science, and Section D is Economics.

Important instructions for students appearing in the Class 10 board examinations:

CBSE has directed all schools to ensure that students practise this format in advance so that they do not make mistakes during the board examinations.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched an Integrated Payment System (IPS) to process payments for the Centre First Installment to examination centres for the Board Exams 2026.

All schools have been requested to complete the required data entry by February 15, 2026. They must ensure that the bank account details are entered accurately. The Centre Superintendent must personally review the data on the IPS portal before finalising and freezing it.

The Class 10 examinations for regional and foreign language papers, Tibetan, Bhoti, Bhutia, Bodo, Tangkhul, Mizo, Kashmiri, German, Japanese, Spanish, and Bahasa Melayu, along with Academic Electives (Group A2), including National Cadet Corps (NCC) and Elements of Book Keeping and Accountancy, will now be held on March 11. The Class 12 Legal Studies paper, originally scheduled for March 3, will now be conducted on April 10.

CBSE has postponed Class 10 and Class 12 exams scheduled for March 3 and issued a revised timetable for major papers.

CBSE has introduced a second board exam for Class 10, on-screen marking for Class 12, and division of Science and Social Studies papers for Class 10.

Around 46 lakh students will appear at over 8,074 examination centres across India and 26 countries abroad.

CBSE Class 10 exams will end on March 10, while Class 12 exams will conclude on April 9.

Class 10 will begin with Mathematics (Standard and Basic), while Class 12 will start with Biotechnology, Entrepreneurship, and Shorthand (English and Hindi).
