Delhi Police fully prepared for CWG: Dadwal

New Delhi: Delhi Police Commissioner Y S Dadwal has expressed satisfaction over the security preparations for the Commonwealth Games, saying the force is trained, ready and positioned.

"As far as we are concerned, we are fully prepared. Delhi Police is trained, ready and positioned... I am satisfied," Dadwal told reporters on the sidelines of Delhi Police Passing Out parade.

Asked whether the force has got enough time for security drills, he answered in the affirmative and said the force was in "perfect condition" and that all practices and drills will be completed in time.

On reports about Army being asked to be on standby for Games security, Dadwal said he was in touch with the Army.

"There is still time for the Games," Dadwal replied when pointed out that CCTVs were yet to be installed in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, the main venue of the October 3-14 sporting event.
