Chennai: Buses from Tamil Nadu to Kerala, which is ruled by the Left and to Karnataka, ruled by the BJP, have been stopped on Monday.
Both the Left and the BJP have called for a nation-wide bandh against the hike in prices and are focused on making it a success in their states.
Flights from Chennai to Kolkata, Mangalore and Cochin have also been cancelled.
