Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu:
Troubled by the behaviour of her alcoholic husband, a newly-married woman, her sister and parents allegedly committed suicide here, police said today.
Police said Pushpavalli, who was married three months ago, was allegedly subjected to sexual abuse by her husband, Jeyapandi, who was a drunkard.
She decided to live with her parents but Jeyapandi complained to police. The police after a counseling session had asked them to come to the station yesterday.
But the family members allegedly consumed poison and died at a hospital here last night.
Jeyapandi is absconding.
