Bangalore:
Four members of a family allegedly committed suicide in their residence in Byappanahalli area in Bangalore on Thursday, police said.
Gopi (45) first administered poison to his wife Jayashree (38) and children Dilip (17) and Sachita (14) before hanging himself, they said.
He purportedly left behind a suicide note but did not mention the reason for taking the extreme step, merely stating that the wealth and valuables should be distributed to his sisters after his death.
The incident came to light after Gopi's relative visited the house on Thursday evening after not getting any response to his repeated telephone calls, peeped in through the window and saw the bodies lying in the house.
Gopi was the right-hand man of former legislator Nagaraj, who has condoled his death.
