Yamaha Motor India recently launched multiple new models, including two of its first electric scooters for the market: the Aerox e and EC-06. Among these launches is the XSR 155, introduced at a starting price of Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Now, the neo-retro machine has started arriving on dealership floors in some regions of the country, and the consumers have started taking deliveries of the motorcycles.
The Yamaha XSR 155 features a neo-retro design. Emphasizing its neo-retro character, the Yamaha XSR 155 showcases design elements like a round LED headlight and taillight, along with a teardrop-shaped fuel tank that prominently displays 'XSR 155' lettering rather than the brand's logo. Its classic charm is further accentuated by a flat, single-piece seat, which is notably different from the split, stepped seats typically seen on Yamaha bikes.

When it comes to features, the Yamaha XSR 155 is fitted with a complete all-LED lighting system, featuring both a round LED headlamp and taillamp. The instrument cluster consists of a retro-styled full LCD digital display, providing clear readings while complementing the bike's vintage appeal.
On the technology front, the XSR 155 benefits from Yamaha's Advanced Technology suite, which includes traction control for improved stability and the Motorcycle Connect system for smartphone connectivity options. Safety is well-addressed with the addition of dual-channel ABS, ensuring reliable braking performance under various road conditions.
The Yamaha XSR 155 is powered by a well-known 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that it shares with the R15 and MT-15. This engine produces an output of 18.4 hp at 10,000 rpm and 14.1 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm, paired with a 6-speed transmission for a smooth and responsive riding experience.
