Yamaha Motor India has expanded the "FZ" family with the introduction of the brand new FZ Rave motorcycle. It has been launched in the country at a starting price of Rs 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom). Introduced alongside the new XSR 155 motorcycle of the brand, it brings refreshed styling to the FZ family. Furthermore, the Japanese automaker has revealed its first electric scooters in the Indian market called the Aerox e and EC-06.
The Yamaha FZ Rave brings an aggressive design with a unique appearance for the headlamp unit. This is complemented by the presence of a rather muscular fuel tank with a design that appears to be like air vents on either side. This is complemented by the presence of a single-piece seat and multiple panels present on the front end of the motorcycle. Additionally, the motorcycle is available in Matte Titan and Metallic Black paint scheme options.

The bike also comes equipped with a negative LCD instrument cluster displaying all the crucial information.
The Yamaha FZ Rave is based on a diamond-type frame suspended on a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear end. Braking is the responsibility of single disc brakes at both ends. These are mounted on 17-inch wheels at both ends, wrapped in tubeless tires. The front end gets a 100-section tire while the rear end has a 140-section unit.
Power for the Yamaha FZ Rave comes from a 149 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, which puts out 12 hp of power at 7,250 rpm and 13.3 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. It works with a five-speed transmission.
