Toyota India has unveiled its first all-electric SUV for the Indian market, christened Urban Cruiser Ebella. Sharing its underpinnings with the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara, the model opens new doors for the brand, marking its entry into the mid-size electric SUV segment. The prospective consumers of the brand can get the SUV for a token amount of Rs 25,000 with bookings starting today. It competes against models like Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, and others in the Indian market. Here are all the details of the vehicle.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella: Design
The Urban Cruiser Ebella brings a silhouette similar to the e Vitara but with Toyota styling. To begin with, it has a unique design at the front in sync with the design language of the brand sold in the international market. It gets sculpted the bonnet, making it look muscular with character lines on the side. This is complemented by the presence of aerodynamic design for the alloy wheels. All, with a wheelbase of 2700 mm. It stands at 4,285 mm in length, measures about 1,800 mm in width, and stands close to 1,640 mm tall.

The design of the electric SUV is complemented by colour options including Cafe White, Bluish Black, Gaming Grey, Sportin Red and Enticing Silver. The dual-tone colour options include Cafe White, Land Breeze Green, Sportin Red and Enticing Silver, all with a black roof.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella: Interior, Features
The new electric vehicle comes with dual-tone interiors consisting of black and brown tones. The dashboard layout is reminiscent of the one offered on the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara. Additionally, the Urban Cruiser Ebella comes packed with features expected of a modern electric car. It gets features like panoramic sunroof, 10.1-inch infotainment screen, ventilated seats, wireless charger, JBL sound system, ambient lighting, dial-type shift gear knob, air purifier, climate control, and more. For safety, the electric vehicle gets 7-airbags, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella: Range
They confirmed that the Urban Cruiser Ebella gets two battery pack options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The variant with the bigger battery pack is powered by a 171.6 hp electric motor, which gives it 189 Nm of torque. While the smaller 49 kWh variant gets 106 hp electric motor. With a maximum range of 543 km on a single charge, the electric SUV offers the options of 2WD and AWD drivetrains. The LFP battery supports both AC and DC charging.
