The year 2025 proved to be an exciting one for motorcycle enthusiasts in India, with several high-profile launches across segments. From entry-level commuters to mid-capacity adventure tourers and powerful twins, brands like Honda, KTM, TVS, Royal Enfield, and Aprilia introduced machines that blend performance, design, and technology. Here's a look at the top five motorcycles that made headlines this year.
Honda CB125 Hornet
The Honda CB125 Hornet is powered by a 123.94 cc, 4-stroke, SI engine, mated with a 5-speed gearbox. It is capable of delivering a peak power and torque output of 11 hp at 7500 rpm and 11.2 Nm at 6000 rpm, respectively. It can sprint from 0 to 60 km/h in just 5.4 seconds, claiming to be the fastest motorcycle in its class. The CB125 Hornet was launched at Rs 1.12 lakh (ex-showroom).

KTM 390 Adventure
The KTM 390 Adventure was launched in February 2025 and is expected to be followed by the KTM 390 Adventure R in January 2026. Powering the KTM 390 Adventure series is a 399 cc single-cylinder LC4c engine from the brand, which produces 45.2 hp of power and 39 Nm of peak torque. It works with a six-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch. It is available at a starting price of Rs 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

TVS Apache RTX 300
TVS entered the adventure tourer segment in October with the launch of the Apache RTX 300, priced at Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Built on the company's new platform, the motorcycle takes on rivals such as the KTM 250 Adventure, Yezdi Adventure, and Royal Enfield Scram 440.

Powered by a newly developed 299cc, liquid-oil cooled, single-cylinder RT-XD4 engine that is capable of churning out a peak power and torque output of 35.5 hp at 9,000 rpm and 28.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The power mill is connected to a six-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter. It also gets an assist & slipper clutch for smooth transmission.
Royal Enfield Classic 650
Royal Enfield has launched the Classic 650 Twin in March and is available at a starting price of Rs 3.61 lakh (ex-showroom). Powering the Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin is a 647 cc air/oil-cooled parallel twin engine, designed to deliver 46.4 hp at 7,250 rpm and a peak torque of 52.3 Nm at 5,650 rpm. Power is routed to the rear wheel through a 6-speed gearbox featuring a slip-and-assist clutch. This motorcycle competes against competitors like the BSA Goldstar 650 and others in the Indian market.

Royal Enfield Classic 650
Aprilia Tuono 457
The Aprilia Tuono 457 shares its aluminum frame with the RS457 but offers a more upright and relaxed riding stance. It comes equipped with preload-adjustable USD front forks and a rear mono-shock, while braking duties are handled by single discs at both ends, mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels.

Aprilia Tuono 457
Powering the Tuono 457 is a 457 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, producing 46.6 bhp and 43.5 Nm. Paired with a six-speed gearbox and optional bi-directional quick-shifter, Aprilia highlights its impressive power-to-weight ratio.
