Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles is gearing up for the highly anticipated launch of the Punch facelift. The company recently released a teaser showcasing the refreshed SUV's design highlights and key styling updates, confirming several major elements. Building on the excitement, Tata has now dropped another teaser that reveals a significant mechanical upgrade- the addition of a Turbo engine. This confirmation positions the Punch facelift as not just a cosmetic refresh but a performance-oriented update, raising expectations ahead of its official debut.
The Tata Punch Turbo Petrol is expected to feature the familiar 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged engine from the Altroz Racer, producing approximately 118 bhp and 170 Nm. Similar figures are likely for the Punch as well. The teaser further confirms the presence of a 6-speed manual gearbox. Interestingly, behind the gear lever, the driver's seat shows enhanced under-thigh support-a detail first seen on the new Sierra. This addition is set to improve comfort levels, making the Punch Turbo a more refined and driver-friendly SUV.

Beyond the upgraded powertrain, the latest teaser showcases several new features on the Tata Punch. Highlights include a fully digital instrument cluster, 65W fast charging for quicker device top-ups, Hill Descent Control for added confidence on steep slopes, and a fresh touch-based control panel for key functions. The addition of FATC (Fully Automatic Temperature Control) further elevates the SUV's premium appeal, offering climate convenience that was previously absent in the outgoing model.
