The Indian automotive market kicked off Januaryin  2026 with several major launches, including the Mahindra XUV 7XO, XUV 3XO, and the updated Kia Seltos. The excitement, however, continues as more unveilings are lined up for the rest of the month. Among the highlights are the new Renault Duster and the Skoda Kushaq facelift, ensuring that auto enthusiasts have plenty to look forward to in the weeks ahead.

Renault will launch the new Duster in India on January 26, 2026, introducing the brand's CMF-B modular platform, which will also support the Nissan Tekton and the 7-seater Duster Boreal. The SUV adopts a fresh design language and premium interiors, with the India-spec model closely resembling its global counterpart apart from minor cosmetic tweaks. Expected highlights include a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, wireless smartphone connectivity, panoramic sunroof, Level-2 ADAS, and two petrol engine options - 1.3-litre and 1.0-litre turbo units.

Tata Punch Facelift 

Tata Motors will introduce the Punch facelift on January 13, 2026, with six trims - Smart, Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Accomplished, and Accomplished+. The base variant offers LED headlamps, keyless entry, drive modes, six airbags, ESC, and TPMS, while the top model adds LED fog lamps, sunroof, digital console, wireless charging, and auto-dimming IRVM. Power comes from a new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, alongside the existing 1.2-litre NA unit.

Toyota Urban Cruiser EV

Toyota Kirloskar Motor is preparing to enter a new segment with the launch of its first all-electric model, the Urban Cruiser EV. The company has released an initial teaser for the SUV, which is slated to debut in India on January 20. The Urban Cruiser EV will be a re-badged version of Maruti Suzuki's e-Vitara, continuing the collaboration between the two manufacturers. This partnership has already resulted in shared models such as the Glanza-Baleno, Rumion-Ertiga, and Fronx-Taisor. With this launch, Toyota is set to expand its portfolio into the growing electric vehicle space in India.

Nissan Gravite

Nissan India recently confirmed the name of its upcoming MPV for the domestic market - Gravite. The company offered a short glimpse of the vehicle's design, though a complete reveal has been deliberately held back to build anticipation. Positioned as a direct competitor to the Renault Triber, the Gravite is scheduled to make its public debut on January 21. While the unveiling will showcase the model's styling and features, Nissan has clarified that pricing announcements will follow later in March 2026.

Skoda Kushaq Facelift

Skoda is gearing up to introduce the refreshed Kushaq facelift by the end of January 2026. The SUV will feature minor styling updates, a revised cabin, and an expanded equipment list. Highlights include a panoramic sunroof and Level-2 ADAS, offering adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane assist, auto high beam, and more. A 360-degree surround view camera is also expected. Powertrain options will remain unchanged, with the 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo and 1.5-litre turbo petrol engines.
