
Mercedes-Benz India has announced that the E-Class models have benefited from the implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms. Once the changes come into effect, the car will see a price drop of up to Rs 6 lakh; more details on that later. Additionally, celebrating the first anniversary of the E-Class LWB, the brand has added a new Verde Silver colour option to the vehicle. It will be available in all three variants: E200, E220d, and E450.
The E-Class LWB is presently listed at a price range of Rs 83 - 96.9 lakh (ex-showroom, India), and following the revision, buyers will enjoy a discount of up to Rs 6 lakh on the ex-showroom, resulting in a cost of around Rs 91 lakh (ex-showroom). Additionally, the GLE 450 will also benefit from the updated pricing. Currently priced at Rs 1.15 crore, it will experience a reduction of Rs 6 lakh, resulting in a new effective price of Rs 1.07 crore (ex-showroom, India).

Even with the addition of the new colour, the rest of the details of the sedan remain the same. On the inside, it continues to have a three-screen setup, including a 12.3-inch virtual instrument cluster, a 14.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a third screen (12.3-inch). There are also features like 64-colour ambient lighting, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, four-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a 17-speaker Burmester audio system, and more.
The Mercedes-Benz E200 comes with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with 204 hp. Meanwhile, the E 200d comes with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, which kicks out 197 hp of power. The most powerful of the range, E450 AMG, comes with a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine supported by a 48V mild-hybrid engine. This setup together produces 381 hp of power.
