Land Rover has launched the 2026 Discovery SUV in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 1.26 crore (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 1.39 crore (ex-showroom). The line of the luxury SUV has been expanded with the addition of the new Gemini and Tempest editions. It is to be noted that the Dynamic S and Metropolitan Edition trims will be discontinued from 2026 onwards.
The differences between the special editions and the standard model primarily consist of cosmetic features. With the Gemini Edition, the brand is giving a distinctive Sedona Red paint finish, a gloss black roof, and silver-finished exterior trim elements. Completing the exterior design are 21-inch alloy wheels. Buyers also have the option to choose from a variety of exterior colour choices from the standard Discovery, along with a selection of wheels available in 20-inch, 21-inch, and 22-inch sizes for further customization. Inside, the cabin can be selected in either black or ivory upholstery.

In contrast, the Tempest Edition serves as the highest-tier Discovery, featuring unique elements such as copper accents, copper-toned 22-inch wheels, and a copper-colored roof. The interior of the Tempest includes extended Windsor Leather upholstery as a standard feature, available in black, a dual-tone of black and brown, or a combination of black and ivory.

The Tempest, on the other hand, includes additional technology such as Matrix LED headlamps, a head-up display, power-folding third-row seats, 4-zone climate control, heated and ventilated seats (for the front and middle rows), and a Meridian Surround Sound System.
Powering the Discovery is a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbocharged mild-hybrid diesel engine, which puts out 350 hp of power and 700 Nm of peak torque. The power is transferred to all four wheels using a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
