Audi has already introduced the third generation of the Q3 in the international market, and this version of the SUV is set to launch in the Indian market in 2026. Before its release, the vehicle underwent various tests conducted by the Euro New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP) to assess its safety for occupants. It is worth mentioning that the unit tested by the safety rating agency is the Sportback version.
The Audi Q3 has scored a five-star rating. Based on the results, the vehicle's adult occupant protection score is 87 percent, earning a total of 35 points. Child occupant protection achieved a score of 86 percent, with 42.5 points. Additionally, the vehicle scored 80 percent, which translates to 51 points for vulnerable road users, including pedestrians and cyclists.

During the frontal offset test, the Q3's passenger compartment showed stability. It provided excellent protection for the knees and femurs of both front passengers. Audi's design ensured a reliable level of safety for occupants of different sizes and seating arrangements.
In the full-width rigid barrier test, chest protection received a marginal rating, and a situation known as "submarining" was noted, where the driver dummy's pelvis moved beneath the seatbelt. Even so, the model excelled in side-impact assessments, achieving the highest score for the protection of all key body areas.
The Q3 demonstrated strong durability in both the side barrier and side pole evaluations. Additionally, the SUV's seats and headrests were assessed to offer effective whiplash protection in the case of a rear-end crash, further enhancing its safety profile.
The Q3 that was tested came with Audi's latest safety technologies, including an eCall emergency system that automatically alerts emergency services following an accident. Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), such as autonomous emergency braking and lane support, also complied with Euro NCAP's performance criteria.
