Bajaj Auto has updated the Avenger Street 220 for the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). With a cruiser-style body, the machine is designed for urban use. It takes a prominent place in the brand's lineup following the discontinuation of the Street 160. The updated motorcycle is now listed on the official website of the brand and is up for sale.

In the new model year version, the Bajaj Avenger 220 gets two paint schemes, including Ebony Black and Cocktail Red Wine. Meanwhile, the rest of the design elements remain the same. The motorcycle carries forward its laid-back design, offering a relaxed riding position with a high-positioned handlebar and forward-set footpegs. It also continues to have a round headlamp and the unique design for the fuel tank with the fuel gauge on it.

Power for the Bajaj Avenger 220 street comes from the same 220 cc air-oil cooled, single-cylinder engine, which is shared with the Pulsar 220F. The motor puts out 19 hp of power at 8,500 rpm and 17 Nm of peak torque while revving at 7,000 rpm. This power is transferred to the rear wheel via a five-speed gearbox.

The motorcycle is suspended on telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers with five-step preload adjustment. Braking duties are taken care of by a 280 mm front disc brake with a 130 mm rear drum brake. To enhance safety, the motorcycle gets a single-channel ABS.

The Avenger 220 Street is fitted with alloy wheels that are equipped with tubeless tyres, featuring a 90/90-17 tyre at the front and a 130/90-15 tyre at the rear. In contrast to the Avenger Cruise, which has spoked wheels and tube-type tyres, the Street variant provides the advantage of more straightforward puncture repairs due to its tubeless configuration.

This motorcycle boasts a 13-litre fuel tank and has a kerb weight of 160 kg. With a seat height of 737 mm, it is especially accessible for riders of different heights, further enhancing the motorcycle's user-friendly character and daily practicality.
