Bihar government not taking attack on Narendra Modi's Patna rally seriously: BJP

BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said the Bihar government is not taking the attack on the party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi seriously.

BJP today accused the Bihar government of not taking the attack on the Patna rally of party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi seriously. BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar's said the Bihar government was careless with the security arrangements.

Here are the highlights of his speech:

BJP has taken a serious stand on the murderous attack on Modi in Patna

It was an attempt to inflict fatal injuries on lakhs of people present at the rally

Bihar government is not taking the attack on Modi seriously. It has been very careless regarding Modi's security.

Any Chief Minister who travels to another state, it is the state government's duty to coordinate with the Chief Minister's security cover

Bihar government did not make any security arrangements themselves

There were no metal detectors, no CCTVs, that's how the bombers could enter the ground easily

It is unfortunate that Bihar government is still refusing to accept its mistake and the central government is also not saying anything to them

Government has always been soft towards the issue of terrorism

Why is the Congress silent now after all the details are emerging?

Why doesn't Sonia, Rahul say anything on who is to blame for this terrorist attack, why were no proper security arrangements made?

Our PM candidate Modi must be given full security

There will be many more rallies hereafter. BJP leaders and Modi ji will be travelling to many states

Modi is a prime terrorist target and government knows this, still they are not doing anything

We want government to provide full security to Modi and want Bihar government to accept its mistake and take corrective steps

Why is the Congress silent now after the revelation of the Ranchi module? We cannot mix politics with security. We have lost two PMs and many leaders to terror attacks

Country has to learn lessons. We hope central government will take note of all these developments and not do politics on security

Terrorism is a challenge for the country and must be met with firm resolve and unanimity

What has happened in Patna shouldn't happen again - the lapses are glaring

This is a conspiracy by terrorists. If Pakistan was involved or ISI was involved, it is the duty of the central government to investigate

We want adequate security, the government knows what to do
