Arvind Kejriwal Moves High Court Against Custody

New Delhi: Former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal today moved the Delhi High Court challenging a trial court order of sending him to judicial custody. (In Courtroom Packed With Supporters, Arvind Kejriwal Argues His Own Case)

Mr Kejriwal's lawyers mentioned the matter before a division bench of Justice B D Ahmed and Justice Sidharth Mridul for urgent hearing. The court posted the matter for Tuesday.

The leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is in judicial custody till June 6 after he refused to furnish a personal bond in a defamation case filed by Bharatiya Janata Party leader Nitin Gadkari. (Also Read: Nitin Gadkari Slaps Defamation Notice on Arvind Kejriwal)
