Amritsar:
A young girl in a live-in relationship for the past one year, was allegedly beheaded by unidentified assailants in Maqboolpura locality here, police said on Wednesday.
Parveen, 20, was living with a man named Luvjeet, who was recently put behind bars in connection with a rape case.
On Tuesday, when the girl was alone in the house, unidentified miscreants beheaded her and kept her body in another corner of the room, Police Inspector Ashwani Kumar said.
Locals reported the matter to police who later found her body in a pool of blood at Luvjeet's residence where the two were living before his arrest, he said.
The matter is under investigation, Kumar added.
