John Terry has been sacked as captain of England's football team.
Terry allegedly had an affair with French model Vanessa Per-ron-cel while she was dating his former Chelsea teammate Wayne Bridge.
The Chelsea defender has already been at the centre of several off-field incidents, most recently when he was accused of accepting 10,000 pounds ($15,930) to give a private tour of Chelsea's training ground without the club's knowledge.
Terry was made captain by former coach Steve McClaren in 2006.
