Celebrities reading out 'mean tweets' about themselves are one of the funniest bits of Jimmy Kimmel Live, as anyone who watches the show will agree. On Thursday, however, Jimmy Kimmel scored his biggest guest of all time, taking the show to an all new level - US President Barack Obama.
You read that right. POTUS was on Jimmy Kimmel reading out 'mean tweets' directed at him.
Most were comical musings about his performance as President. One was about him wearing 'dad jeans' that have repeatedly subjected his wardrobe to fashion criticism. Needless to say, it was hilarious.
"Obama's hair is looking grayer these days. Can't imagine why since he doesn't seem to be one bit worried about all that's going on," read the President with a straight face.
Someone tweeted asking if there was a way to fly Obama to some golf course halfway around the world and just leave him there. The President's response to that was: "I think it's a great idea".
In another 'mean tweet', someone said Obama should be sent lifehacks on how to be a good President. "Haha. Like I bet that would help. LOL," read the tweet. POTUS had the revenge of a grammar nazi, pointing out, "LOL is redundant when you have the Haha."
Another mean tweeter also showed concern about 'THOSE jeans' that Obama wears. "I am alright with the President wearing jeans. I am not alright with Obama wearing THOSE jeans."
And, what was Obama's favourite mean tweet? "How do you make Obama's eyes light up? Shine a flashlight in his ears."
