MNS workers stop shooting of film produced by Big B

Mumbai: Members of the Raj Thackeray-led MNS' film wing today disrupted shooting of "Buddha Mil Gaya", being produced by Amitabh Bachchan's AB Corp, citing violations of norms on inclusion of foreign artistes.

"We are opposing the inclusion of around 40 foreign artistes in the shoot without proper permissions and documents," MNS film wing chief Amey Khopkar told PTI, after the protest in Dadar area.

"The foreign artistes are working for this film without work permits, proper visa and relevant documents," Khopkar said.

The police station concerned was not informed about their participation in the shoot, he said.

"MNS film wing will take up the issue and strongly oppose anyone violating the law," Khopkar said.

Meanwhile, police said they were verifying documents of the foreign artistes following complaints by the MNS.

"Verification is on. So far no foreign artiste has been brought to the police station," said S R Unavane, senior police inspector at Shivaji Park police station.
