Youth murdered for alcohol bottles

New Delhi: An argument over breaking of liquor bottles led to the murder of a youth in Outer Delhi, police said on Thursday. Kuldeep (25) was bludgeoned to death allegedly by his two friends Ravi (20) and Kuldeep (23) in Sultanpuri on the intervening night of May 3rd and 4th.

 B S Jaiswal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer), said. The body was spotted yesterday morning.
The arrests came following information through local intelligence that a quarrel took place between the victim and his two friends over breaking of liquor bottles. "Kuldeep and Ravi were arrested from Indira Park and Nangloi Fatak respectively," Jaiswal said.

During interrogation, he said that the duo had a quarrel with the victim over breaking of liquor bottles.

"Initially they left but later came back with a stone slab. Kuldeep caught hold of the deceased's legs and Ravi assaulted him with the slab 5-6 times," Jaiswal said.

Ravi, a habitual drunkard, is a rickshaw puller while the accused Kuldeep works  as a carpenter.
