Neeraj Grover murder case: Neighbour didn't hear anyone scream
Mumbai: The sessions court on Thursday recorded the testimony of the neighbour of Kannada actress Maria Susairaj, arrested along with her naval officer fiance Emile Jerome Mathew for allegedly murdering Synergy Adlabs creative executive Neeraj Grover.

The witness stays in the opposite building, with his window just 30 metres away from Susairaj's house.

According to Susairaj, it was Jerome who had murdered Grover and she had screamed loudly while her fiance attacked Grover.

However, the witness told the court that he had not heard any screams on the day of the alleged incident or seen anything.

"The window to my bedroom is close to the window of Susairaj's house. I did not hear any screaming," the witness said.

According to the police, in May 2008 Jerome was infuriated after seeing Susairaj with Grover alone at her residence in suburban Malad and attacked him.

It is alleged that the two accused brutally stabbed Grover to death and then cut his body into several pieces before disposing it off in the Manor jungles on the outskirts of the city.

Both Jerome and Susairaj have pleaded innocence but have been in custody for two years now.
