Buenos Aires:
Doctors will perform surgery on Argentina's President Cristina Fernandez to remove blood from inside her skull and relieve pressure on her brain.
A hospital statement says the operation will take place on Tuesday morning.
The president's doctors ordered a month's rest on Saturday after discovering the subdural hematoma - blood that had been collecting between her brain and skull.
But the Fundacion Favaloro hospital announced that doctors decided to operate after her condition worsened on Sunday evening, when she felt a weakness and lack of blood flow in her upper left arm.
